“A construction worker early in his jiu-jitsu training was hailed by police Monday morning for detaining a coworker who had stabbed two others at a Cambridge worksite until officers arrived at the scene.

The unnamed worker responded quickly when his coworker stabbed another employee over a debt, said Pauline Wells, deputy superintendent of the Cambridge Police Department.

Wells said the employee placed the suspect in a hold and kept the man contained until officers arrived minutes later.“
